Venmo is a great peer-to-peer (P2P) payment option to pay people you know because of how simple it is to use and that it costs virtually nothing. If you’re using Google Forms to collect orders whether it’s for school events or your new business, there are a few ways to use Venmo and other peer-to-peer payment options like CashApp and Zelle to help you get paid. In this article, we’ll walk through the steps on how to use Venmo with Google Forms.

Can you add Venmo to Google Forms?

Unfortunately, there’s no direct integration of Venmo to Google Forms, but there are a few solutions available that lets you achieve the same goal:

1. Venmo QR Code

In the Venmo app, you can create a “Venmo me” QR code that links to your Venmo account. Take a screenshot of the code, and attach it to the bottom of your Google Form as an image that the buyer can scan to pay you.

2. Venmo username

If the QR Code option seems like a hassle, you can simply put your Venmo username at the bottom of your Google Form and ask people to pay for your account.

3. Venmo link

To make it more user-friendly for the buyer, you can also provide your Venmo link in your Google Forms. Your Venmo link will be structured as venmo.com/[your_username].

Regardless of which method you choose to provide your Venmo information, when you get an order from Google Forms, you’ll have to manually check whether the buyer paid you for the order and if they paid you the right amount. The additional admin is one of the large downsides of collecting payments with Venmo with Google Forms.

4. Use FormPay for seamless payments

Using a makeshift Venmo and Google Forms solution can be cumbersome for both you and your customers due to the lack of integration. Manually chasing down and reconciling payments can be time-consuming for you, while your customers have to calculate their total, switch between apps, and potentially even devices. This setup can become unmanageable with a high volume of orders.

Instead, consider using FormPay. FormPay offers the functionality of Google Forms, but with integrated payments, allowing you to collect order information and payments seamlessly in one go.

FormPay uses Stripe as the payment processor, which supports payments through all major credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and CashApp. Unfortunately, Stripe does not currently support Venmo. However, with this variety of payment options, your customers have plenty of choices to pay you without additional manual intervention.

Another advantage of FormPay is that as soon as your customer submits and pays for their order, both you and the customer will receive automatic email confirmations. Additionally, you’ll have access to an order dashboard that helps you manage order statuses, keeping track of what’s in progress and what still needs attention.

Best of all, it doesn’t cost anything to get started with FormPay, and there are no monthly fees—making it risk free for you to get started.FormPay
